There is nothing better than a great surprise and when I opened the mailbox Thurs morning Feb 23rd I thought it was a joke only I knew it was much better. I love to watch the Regis and Kelly show even if it is just the first 15min because it always makes me laugh for some reason. Jessie and I have joked that we are Kelly's BFFs and one day would go to the show. So in Jan. I realized Jessie's birthday was coming up in March and thought how fun it would be to get tickets to the Regis and Kelly show for her birthday. I mailed a postcard to the show telling them that I HAD to have tickets for my friend's birthday and we could come any Friday in March. For the most part I forgot about the postcard and gave up on the idea until a week before her birthday in the mail came two tickets for the day after her birthday. We had to make the trip in 24 hours but it was a GREAT 24 hours. We took the girls (Emmilyne and Sienna) because I knew Jessie probably wouldn't go any other way.

When we met Kelly Ripa....yes we met her and got a picture with her. I called out "kelly" during a commercial because we HAD to have a picture with her. She even wished Jessie a Happy Birthday, who does that happen to????? I think she feels like we are her BFF's too!
Leaving the studio...yes..they had to kick us out.... the security guard went with us to make sure we left.
The rest of the day spent w/ Emmilyne and Sienna in NYC and at the American Girl Doll Store. There is nothing like a great GIRL'S TRIP!!!!

awwwww it looks good Jules! Your doing great! It takes a while to get use to doing posts...love this post! It was such a great time wasn't it! Sienna keeps saying she wants to go to New York again!
ReplyDeleteOh my...Kelly Ripa??? How did I not know you went to see her? That should have been the first thing you mentioned to me when we talked the other night! :) That looked like the perfect girls getaway. My two favorite parts were when you yelled out Kelly and how you were escorted out by the security guards. I love it!
